It's Saturday already and that means 'Less Is More', this week the girls would like to see STRIPES on a one layer card. As Her Maj celebrated 60 years as our monarch this week I decided to go with a red, white and blue colour scheme in her honour.
I don't have any stripey stamps so I asked my friend Eunice (two doors down) if she could oblige. As usual she came up trumps with a Hero Arts set and I selected one of the stamps to make this.
Other stamps used were the Hobby Art sentiment and a Rhona Farrer flower image. I can't decide if it looks strange with the design all in the lower half of the card, what do you think? I wondered if I should continue the stripes higher but dismissed that idea because I thought the card would look too busy for a CAS card. Never mind eh, I'm not going to lose sleep over it.
We've still got snow in Sussex and although it was a lovely day today, it was bloody parky when I went out for a stroll around the village this afternoon. I took my camera with me and got these shots.
Can I hear you yawning?
Thanks so much to those of you who left lovely messages last week and apologies that I haven't returned as many as I would've liked. I'm still
training for my new job and have had a fair bit of work to do at home.
Hope you all have a splendid weekend.
