LIM sketch

I've just finished a card I started yesterday for this weeks Less is More Challenge,  this week there is a sketch to follow.
I thought I'd have a bash at something new this time and decided to make a rosette for my card as they seem to be all the rage at the moment.

I embossed the lower half of the card with Swiss Dots to echo the polka dots on the rosette and a green strip of card and some black/white ribbon completed the project.   The sentiment is from Paula Pascual.   What's the verdict?

As always, thanks for visiting  Made in a Muddle and for all your kind words.

Apologies Chrissie & Mandi.  I seem to have buggered up this week's link due to editing problems with 'new' blogger which I can't get to grips with.  Grrrrr!  I am linking again so perhaps you can delete the first one?  Thanks x.

Masculine

.......is the theme of this week's 'Less is More' challenge, and after some consideration this is what I came up with.

The sentiment was printed with a font that came from a site that Mandi recommended and the stamp is one I've had for yonks by Stampendous.  I coloured the pen with watercolour pencils and punched the edge of the card with an SU punch.

My 11 yr old niece Emily always refers to men as 'dudes' which always amuses me, so that was the reason behind the sentiment.  I'm going to see said niece in her school swimming gala tonight so I'd better shake a leg.

Thanks for stopping to look and for taking the time to comment.

Bluebirds

This week's challenge at Less is More is one layer and 'Off the Edge' and there are some great samples by Chrissie and Mandi. My card this week came to me quite quickly and took no time to complete, which is good because I need to get out in the garden for a bit of a tidy as it's a lovely day here in the south east.

The bird image is by Inkadinkado and I stamped it in Deep Lagoon Versafine and clear embossed it. The sentiment is stamped using a Hero Arts alphabet and to finish I pierced a line on the card.

Hope you like it and as always thanks so much for all the lovely feedback, it is much appreciated. Hope you have a great weekend, wherever you are.

Edit-Just learned that One Stop Craft Challenge have a CAS theme this week. Going there now to enter my card.

Post 100

Hello Bloggers,

Here is my entry for this week's Less is More Challenge and this week the theme is Pastel Colours, not a favourite of mine..... so what to do?? I had a bit of a think and came up with this.

I embossed a border, scored on either side and stamped a Paula Pascual sentiment above it. My flower was inspired by several I've seen in blogland but I've never been able to successfully make one, and this was my third attempt today!
I didn't find it particularly easy, when other people make it look so effortless. The first two were too deep and stood too proud of the card, this one is more shallow as I made the circle smaller. I tore it into a spiral and crumpled the card before assembling, and once glued in place I added a punched stamen and a mint coloured pearl. Then I cut two leaf shapes and did a bit of faux stitching with a souffle pen, shaped the leaves and stuck them behind the flower.

Apologies for the appalling photo's - although it is sunny today it is so windy outside there was no possibility of an outside shot and as the sentiment is small and stamped in lilac it is a bugger to photograph.

Once again, many thanks for all the kind words you left last week.
